I talked to one guy at EBgames about PS3, also got some information too. Pre-order for PS3 will start in September at EBgames, GameStop, Game Crazy and Game Rush.

I don't know about what on days but keep update in next month, or soon if get information from EBgames.

Im a little bit hesitant because I can just picture it being the same hype about the xbox and idiots paying 3-10x the original asking price for a game system just because they 'really need it now'.

PS3 to Accept PS2 Saved Games
Use of a new peripheral will allow next-gen system to use current-gen saves.

August 4, 2006 - Though it seems to have been up for some time, Sony has updated its official PlayStation 3 FAQ page to answer an all-important question: Being as the PlayStation 3 is 100% (or nearly at least) backwards-compatible, how will PSone/PS2 saves work with the system, if at all? The answer not only explains how it'll work, but announces a new peripheral.

Sony, and likely third-party manufacturers as well, will release a memory card adaptor that allows you to connect your PSone/PS2 Memory Cards to your PlayStation 3, supposedly via USB or a Memory Stick slot. PSone/PS2 data will need to be copied onto the PS3's hard drive and onto a "virtual memory card". Data can then be copied back to a solid Memory Card for use on a standard PSone/PS2.

So no, you won't need to start your RPGs all over again on the PS3.

As of press time, IGN could not reach Sony for more information, details or even an official name for this peripheral.

You will learn about how's transfer your game saves into memory stick but it's not hard.

Unlike Xbox 360, all PS2 games will work on PS3 without doubt.

I would wait for the relaunch of PS3 or wait until they get Nascar game for that system.

All PS2 and Orginal xbox Nascar series are basic unlike the PC Nascar series which is advanced. So PS3 and Xbox 360 are more like close realistic like PC versions... so Next Nascar could be more better on PS3/Xbox360 comparing to PC nascar series. Hopefully.

You know that it will much change if you have HDTV.

I dont meant the pictures. The PS2 and Xbox Nascar series have basic driving settings, garage, computer assists, and etc. PC Nascar game is way advanced than the consoles & more realistic driving. I have played all Nascar series on all systems. PC is the best one so far but they are not affordable.
