portabella mushroom pizza

Prep: 10 mins Cook: 20 mins Ready in: 30 mins Serves: 4


Ingredients:

12 Tb Prego pasta sauce
4 4 portabella mushrooms
2 cup mozzarella cheese
2oz e pepperoni, chicken, or other meats
1 1 thin sliced onion
1 1 pepper green or whatever pepper you would

Cooking Instructions:

scrape out black gills form underside of cap (too mushroomy)

place all 4 caps on cooking sheet, upside down

spoon on the pasta sauce

add a little cheese

place pepperoni (i double the layer), or any other meats used

precook the sliced onion, browned and carmelized are best flavor

place partially cook peppers for the next layer

cover with remaining cheese

bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown & bubbly

Hmm...that sounds 'mushy'-- :lol: Really, this sure looks and sounds good! Definitely will have to try that someday as I'm crazy over having mushrooms in my food or alone. Thanks for sharing with AD'ers-- ;)

LOL, Hope you will like it. LOL.. I use that also to make buger mushroom too with oilve oil on grill make a perfect healthy way to eat heee
 
YUCK! my husband may like this....thanks for sharing..I do not like ANY MUSHROOMS!
 
GarnetTigerMom - looks delicious! Do you try this? A few weeks ago I tried to make pizza with dough from a grocery store, but it was not good (not bad, but delivery is so much better). This looks fast and easy - and I love mushrooms!

Yep I try this before and it always taste great, I also can make it as a buger mushroom too when you use olive oil and grill it. It really good.
 
Oh lol. At first when I saw the title I thought you meant like put a huge mushroom on the surface as a topping. I actually had my head tilted until I read the recipe. I was thinking probably only 4 would fit on the surface at a time lol.

That recipe looks weird even though I love mushrooms. XD
