I'm shocked that many christians want republican to sign up for new amendment about bans same-sex marriage, union and partner or whatever in all USA, it called federal law. I only know that many republicans want takeover democrats to make more person to pass the new amendment, also with House of Representatives too. It's must be 2/3 Senator (67) and 3/4 House of Representatives (???) to pass to new amendment about bans all of feature on same-sex marriage.

I'm kinda rant right now but republicans seem growing little faster and democrats are declining alittle, other independent is still on 1. Senates are little change about more republicans than democrats. If new amendment is passed then USA would going be screw up and big pain ass with national religions. I doubt that it won't happen since they are on struggle to make more republicans than democrats for both of House of Representatives and Senators.

We need fight more between politic but Bush is fucking idiot and expected that republicans would be on peak for both of House of Representatives and Democrats. Honestly, USA is freedom, people can do own with their religion, not forces them to switch into christians biased, that how conservative is work. I doubt that new amendment would pass because it would make USA to screw up and messed up with systems, like forced them to pray at all public school, bans on gay/lebsian rights, bans to watch porn/violence movies and games, rights to tell what people can't wear on public (like no earrings and no beard for males and no body piercing for both of genders, woman can't have pants or whatever), that other example for christians to control over USA as national religions but doubt that won't going be happen.

If happen then swear to god that I would be end up to Canada by early 2010's before USA are going be screw up and getting worse. USA seems not give respect to our personal rights, more choice as freedom, own on our business.

How are you feeling about them in future? Just need help with our feeling and explain if true or not in future.

The amendment won't pass... I doubt they'll even get 50 votes, let alone the 67 they need. With all Democrats except one opposed to it and all of the more moderate Republicans opposed... Yeah, it won't pass.

As far as the number of seats each party cotnrols in the legislature, the GOP is set to lose a number of seats in both Houses this year... That is a good thing.

I don't think we should rest on our laurels. It's possible it will pass, and for that reason, we need to be on gaurd. However, I think we get concerned more than we need to. We tend to only think about the most vocal of Congress, and forget about the Moderates in Congress. THERE ARE Moderates in Congress who DON'T agree with the Religious Right. NOT every Republican is a religious conservative. It just SEEMS that way.

So, cover your backside. I made sure my senators knew how I felt. But, am I freaking out :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: ??? No, I'm not! :lol:

Even IF it does pass, eventually Congress will swing again, and someone else down the line will undo what this Congress does. We're not stuck with the conservatives forever. It just feels that way. :lol:

It could. You never know. The Religious Right won't have a stranglehold on Congress forever.

It means that the gay marriage proposal that Bush was trying to get through the Senate failed again.

THIS IS A GOOD THING!!!!

I am for gay marriage, so I'm quite happy that the proposal failed again.

I can't wait til Jan 2009 to rid Bush from office and no more proposal to bans gay marriage. Homosexual are personal sex that people have rights to be heterosexual, homosexual and transgender based on their comfortable with personal. I doubt that Bush would make to conservative faithful so it still out of control again. For group, democrats are still figure out to become stronger enough.

One thing that we can't wait to rid Schwarzenegger from office in Jan 2007 because he's doing mistake with our rights, steal funds from public school systems and our school need more funds. We want democrat governor to in office in CA because majority of this state are democrats. Most kids at LA school district are protest against him and growing more battle with lands on between USA and Mexico.

Well, on the issue of gay marriage, it might not be enough to get Bush out of office. There's a LOT OF pressure from conservatives right now. Yes, it will help if a democrat is elected president. However, what we really need is a more liberal Congress. The vote by the senate was VERY close. Too close for comfort, in my opinion. The marriage amendment failed, but we still have worry about this. It would be ideal if gay marriage became legal. Then, our problems would be solved.

Bear in mind... A FEDERAL mandate trumps a state mandate, so what must happen is, the FEDS have to legalize gay marriage. It's good that some states are legalizing it, but to really make gay marriage legitimate and to prevent problems in the future, it would be nice if the country as a whole recognized gay marriage.

True, If same-sex marriage allowed is pass by congress then USA going be similar to Canada. It can be happen in future, probably before 2050 when pass into mid-21th Century.
