Police are looking for a man they say robbed two people Saturday night, shooting one victim in the leg, Sgt. Paul Triolo of the Rockford Police Department said Sunday.
Both victims described the robber as a 5-feet-4-inch, 130 pound black male, Triolo said.
The first robbery happened between 7:30 and 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Park-It Market in the 600 block of Kishwaukee Street, where the robber took a small amount of money from one of the store’s patrons, a deaf man, Triolo said.
The second happened nearby about an hour later, about 9 p.m., at a residence in the 600 block of Gregory Street, where the robber shot a man in the leg, Triolo said.
“It sounds like the same person might be involved,” Triolo said.
