my friend pager me recently, her friend is who deaf gay, from Brazil, 42 yr olds.. Right now, he is visit in usa with friends.. also his mom live in usa too.. so his lawyer told him that he have to get marry woman cuz of Brazil not allow him to marry gay bf, he has bf yea.. but have to marry woman this fall or if he cant marry then he have go back Brazil.. also laywer say he get marry til 2 yrs, then he can stay usa and can divorce... they dont have sex nutthin!!! get her own bedroom, and his own room, also he pay her 10,000.00 for marry him... so what do yall think of this????

I think that would be a pretty stupid reason to do that...

come on...he's gay! what's worth of marriage if he's gay and can't really do anything with a woman like sex and kiss her and go on vacation and even try to be romantic to her? of course, most gay guys can't really do that kind of stuff for a long time anyway...and divorce would just be a waste of time. even the wife's family would be very upset if they find out he's gay and they might think he took advantage of her or something...

think about it. he has to be honest with himself and show the world of what he can do and what he can't do...marry a woman he can't love because he's gay and the marriage won't even work that way.

think about it. perhas he can just PRETEND to be married to her...of course there doesn't have to be a wedding or anything but could proably just tell his parents that they were married without notice and stuff like that...

if Brazil finds out about him just using a girl to be married so he can't get back to Brazil...hell, somebody's going to know anyway. nobody can keep secrets forever.

think about it.

P.S. and I find it extremely stupid for someone just to pay 10,000 dollars so she can marry him...c'mon money can't buy love or happiness you know that!

10,000.00 ???

Tell your friend to take the deal!...Afterall, she is getting paid...

I had a feelings someone was going to say that!!

well I'm serious...I think it's just a waste when someone ask you to pay 10,000 so you can just marry him to cover his idenity of a homosexual...

I would feel sorry for that woman if she was being used.

Tweety, what are you exactly asking from us? What kind of help????

You dont need to hear my opinion that this is utterly stupid and abusive. This Brazilian man wants to use an American woman only to live in US. I have had enough of these people who use USA like that.

I am quite shocked that the lawyer encouraged this Brazilian man to find an American woman to marry. INS folks are damn strict - they ask TONS of tricky questions to the "couple" so it is not that easy as it sounds. Even 10K is nothing. It should be 60K ...30K a year to put up with a loveless marriage.

personally i think its stupid -- im pretty opinionated when it comes to foreign born ppl who just wants to marry for the green card since it has happened within my family even after ive given warnings abt it -- gay or not still stupid

For some reasons, many women will disagree with you. Men's Health ran a poll one or two months ago and asked over 200,000 women for them which to look for:

1) Looks
2) Money

8) Personality

I couldn't remember 3 - 7 but 'personality' on #8 hit me real hard. I hope men's health site still have that poll information (will check it out)

Anyway back to topic, I agree with your post, Steel.

so what are you trying to say? that women would rather go out with men who are "rich and famous"? yeah, I'v heard many times that alot of women likes to go out with men who have alot of power...of course that does mean money, but do women REALLY need that? no, they only want that.

what's more important is just the personality and I think personality is best to make the relationship work without focusing on looks and money, if you ask me...

I wouldn't blame that woman when the gay guy asked her to marry her by offering her 10,000 dollars...and if she accepts it, wait 'til she see what of waste it was when they were only married for two years and then he dumped her so he would be "free" from a forgein country he doesn't want to go to...
she shouldn't blame anyone but for herself and her selfishness on being obsessive for money than personality.

What am I trying to say is that women would go for men who have looks or money. That's their priorities. Other than looks and money, men are useless to them. That's how the Men's Health poll looks to me. I would think that you know me better than that about women.. I mean, personality and others are important too. Some people are saying that personality is more important than looks... while I do agree with that but I disagree at some point.. ALL traits are equally important. I mean... if we divide the 'value' to 5 traits (as example):

Personality
Looks
Money
Communication
Emotionally-Intelligence

I think all of the traits should be 20% equal to make up 100%. Understand what I mean? Looks can be mean anything.. I mean, keep yourself look nice and suave. I don't think women would go for us if we keep picking on our noses, didn't brush our teeth, etc..

Ermm...but men have always made LOOKS as number one. Look at Steel's signature..it is obvious he prefers big busted women.

Media has always told us what men define as sexy and make us feel so pressured to fit into that image if we wanted to get a man.

It goes both ways - there is no difference between men/women but in the end, both long for real and unconditional love.

Haha. I am not even trying to defend men.. Men are no better either. I just want to respond to Steel's post, nothing more.

Meg, I am sure that you know me and my POVs about these issues ;) But yes, unconditional love is far important, I have no argument about that with you.

TweetyBird,

I want to know if she had accept the money and willing to be married to him for two years?
