Bishop Alexander of Dmitrov ordained deacon Valentin Terekhov into priesthood in the church of St.Eliajah the Prophet in Cherkizovo. The newly ordained priest has deficiency in hearing and articulation.

Fr.Valentin will serve at the patriarchal representation church at the Simonov monastery to the community of the blind, deaf and dumb Orthodox Christians, - the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations reported Interfax.

The community numbers some 120-130 people. With the blessing of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, both voice and gesture are used during divine services celebrated for people who can not perceive the word of God in an ordinary church, as they can not hear properly.

For ten years the services here have been celebrated in the understandable languages of gestures. The Divine liturgy and all services according to the canons of the Russian Orthodox Church, all occasional services are celebrated unabridged.

People come to the patriarchal representation church at the Simonov monastery not only from Moscow, but also from the Moscow region and even from the remote corners of Russia.
