The Main Organising Committee of the 15th National Sports Festival in Ogun has admitted the Deaf Federation of Nigeria into the games.
This means that the federation would participate in the games for medals for the first time.
The MOC said in a communique on Thursday at the end of its meeting in Abuja that it had approved guidelines for zonal elimination at a later date.
It asked the states to submit entries by Sept 30.
According to MOC, the games Peace Torch will begin its movement from Abuja in October to various parts of the country.
“Also approved was the list of members of sub-committees of the MOC that would be responsible for various aspects of the festival,” it said.
The communique pledged the readiness of the Sports Ministry to assist the hosts, Ogun government in organising a “unique festival”.
It particularly commended Gov. Gbenga Daniel for the progress made on facilities development for the games tagged “Gateway 2006 Games.”
