Interesting article about Ohio's economy. The reason why I am sharing this article is due to the large deaf population in the Buckeye state....

Columbus was a boomtown with the accelerant of being the "Silicon Valley of the East."

It happens now and not during the dot.com bust?
 
While we could discuss this at length for the particualars, I will sum it up by saying from my observation, it is the result of Republican backlash.

Columbus also sits right on the border of Appalachia. The more rural areas are the ones being hardest hit with unemployment and financial crisis, not to mention the educational crisis. It bleeds into the urban areas.
 
Ohio got democrat governor, welcome back to 80's and early 90's.

I'm really like 80's and 90's better than 2000's. :(
