Obama ignored most powerful Republican on Capitol Hill for 18 months

It took President Obama 18 months to invite the Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell, to the White House for a one-on-one chat.

Mitch McConnell is the most powerful Republican on Capitol Hill and Obama ignored him. The only reason Obama decided to meet with him was that Tom Dascle told him that he really needed to work with him in the first place...albeit 18 months too late...on many policies to work on. That tells alot about his attitude.
