Authorities in central Florida say they caught a biker hitting the open road in just his birthday suit.

Capt. Mike Rolls of the Marion County Sheriff's Office was driving along Highway 200 in Ocala, Fla., on Tuesday morning when he noticed 45-year-old Dante Kraus riding his motorcycle and did a double-take.

"I asked him what happened to his clothing and he said he lost them," said Capt. Mike Rolls. "You could see from his feet, which were bare, all the way up to his shoulders that he didn't have any clothing on."

Rolls said Kraus didn't appear to be concerned, even after the patrol car pulled alongside him. Instead, he got on an interstate highway, exited one exit later and then ran a red light, Rolls said.

Rolls said the man told him he had just come from a Hooters restaurant when he was stopped.

Kraus was given sobriety tests, which authorities said he failed, and deputies found him clothing and took him to the Marion County Jail. The arrest was Kraus' fifth for driving under the influence, authorities said.

"Everyday thousands of day of people drive down busy streets like this and of those its difficult to say how many might be under the influence of alcohol," Rolls said. "But it's safe to say Kraus didn't help himself blend in too much by being naked on a motorcycle."

DUI.... goddammit. We need to do something about DUI in this country. It's out of control but of course... nobody's going to do anything much about it because half of our politicians are DUI as well :mad2:

In this Florida hot sun, don't ya think his wee-wee is gonna get sunburned?

DUI.... goddammit. We need to do something about DUI in this country. It's out of control but of course... nobody's going to do anything much about it because half of our politicians are DUI as well :mad2:

I move that we should bring back "Blue Mondays" or better yet "Hangover Mondays." That should fix things.
Before the Industrial Revolution, guildmasters and artisans would take Mondays off to tend to their hangovers caused by partying on Saturday and Sunday... thus they don't work 3 days of the week. NOW YOU KNOW... [echoes]
But really... I am not sure what you can do about DUI either than go back to riding horses or mandating that everyone take taxis and busses.

Well, it's certainly wasn't a dull day on the job for the cop who arrested him. :giggle:

Still on a more serious note, I'm glad he's off the streets.
