MODs..If this isn't the right place for my thread here..pls move into the right position...thanks!

Remmy I shared with you all about my landlord and my hearing dog few months ago? And..Remmy, I mentioned that my lawyer who passed away about a month ago? (The lawyer who helped me won the case against the landlord)

Well, I am having problems with my landlord AGAIN! Yes, AGAIN! Since my lawyer passed away..The staff and landlord are taking advantage trying to get rid of me because of my dog...they are trying to create problems...giving me more pressures about my place...:pissed:

I called the Lawyer's Office where my lawyer worked there, the one who passed away...I spoke with other Lawyer today about this situation...He got his hands full...so, I will have to search for another lawyer or do something...

Anyway, about three weeks ago...the staff came in my place...they installed the strobes for me...they knew that Ive been sick...my place was not perfect clean..just mix with clean and little messy...I told them my apology and Ive been sick...Well, They stirred up trouble again! They complained to Landlord that my house was messy, not clean! :pissed:

The Landlord threatened me that she wanted to see my place because of the staff complained...I told her no..she could not do that...because it is my rights that i can do anything with my own place...I pay rent so they need to leave me alone! I feel that they are harrassing me!

I received a letter today from them...They said they admitted they came by last week..but my front storm door was locked so they went back yard - were going to go inside my back door..but there were mud so they decided not to go in...

I couldn't believe it...I think it is against the law for anyone to access to our back yard door or back porch door...I have one front porch door and one back porch door in the back yard...

Do you think it is wrong for them to go in our back door in back yard???

I do not feel comfortable about that...I think it is not appropriate for anyone to access to anyone's house in their back yard! PERIOD!

Tell your landlord that you do your responsilbites such as paying for rents and that you have a dog for a REASON so if the landlord doesnt like it too bad because she should respect how you live and all.

I agree! But do you think it is appropriate for staff or landlord to go backyard and try to get in our back door??

No I dont think so the backyard is considered privacy while the front door is usually used for guests, friends and families but backyard when they tried to come in without permission? now thats not right...

EXACTLY! Good thing they were stupid enough to admit it in the letter!

I could sued them for that! I will file complaint against them for invaded my privacy!

Strange, I left my huge blue umbrella on my back porch...It was rainy that day...I figured they probably stole it! Because after it rained...I saw the umbrella was gone! But, I can't prove it...

Hmm.. well you guys can move out and have more privacy or you can sue them and tell the judge they invanted your privacy. Our landlord never does that to us.. always let us know when its the right time and when we give him perimission.. most of the time just only rent or just repairing some things.. that's about it. :)

the landlord must give u 24 hours notice before entering into your home. And they cannot do anything about your home being a "little" messy, you were sick its none of their fucking busniess what goes on in your apartment.

Good luck and if i were u i would problay find a better home than the one your living in.

Why dont you SUE YOUR LANDLORD? You know your rights contact the ACLU thayre stand behind your rights.

They did give me 24 hours notice..however, I was at home...I locked the front storm door...I was busy..did not see the light flash...they admitted they were going to go inside my house at the back door...but there were mud there at the yard...Good thing they did not go in my house..I wouldve scream!

Aww that's rotten to have a nosey landlord!!

Next time, don't bother to open the curtain for them to view inside!!!

They should've notified you the time and date when they need to inspect in all tenants' apartments.

I did received a letter statin' that they want to inspect my apt. -- ALWAYS let me know what time and the date. I gave them my permission. They do it in every 6 months, I think. That was in Alaska where I used to live. The reason they want to inspect is because, of the safety reason such as fire alarm to be sure it works, and all that. I have 4 different strobes in a row - one in the livin' room and one was in the bedroom. The 4 strobes were for door knockin', phone ringin', fire alarmin', and door bell ringin'.Those are green, white, orange and red. They installed them for me by Federal Law.

After they inspected everythin' that were safe and good, they always put a paper on the counter, tellin' me that everythin' were good and safe and PLUS sayin', that I was good tenant for keepin' the apt. clean.

Soo, if next time I want those apartment for future to move in - I am positive sure that they will rent me, because of the record that will show how good tenant I was. I always paid rent on time. ALWAYS.

It's disrespect what the staff and Landlord did!

It's none of staff's business but come to fix something for you, not inspect your house.

The Landlord has no right to threaten you as long as you pay rent at spot and follow Landlord's rules.

They has no right to go in your privacy without get the permission from you.

But if Landlord need his/her house to be inspect then they are obligate to inform you in writing and when and date of time etc.

Example of Landlord's rules, I want to tell you: We visited my brother's private apartment. I read the Landlord's rule on the hallway before go to upstair or get lift to visit someone saying that no smoking etc. Gym. room is not use for under 16 years old, etc. Landlord's rules are everywhere in hallway, gym. room, lift, etc.

Wait wait wait... she said.. "they did give me 24 hours notice" however, I was at home..

ok ok.. so landlord ALREADY gave you 24 hours notice, then they have rights to get in when you are home or not home.. Reasons for: check yearly on batteries for strobe/smoke alarms, plumbling, appliance replaced, fix some damage.. many etc..

I have been living in apartments/duplex/rent house all my life, Landlord send notice that they will come in ... but they have their rights to complain if they see if tentant's rooms are mess or smell.. never know the mess or smell can caused some congatious or airborne danger to health.. it bothers to the next door.. maybe the next doors complained and make landlord come check on you for well being..
If your apartment smells because of dog, try give bath once a week or two.. if he peed or pooped in your apartment by accident, use vinegar/water to soak in area for few min before clean up... and try to keep up cleaning.. because they have rights to evict you.. not just because of dog.. if smoke.. open window little bit and buy air freshers (odor kills)..

we all have to respect landlord, not just living there and have rights like your own.. depends on your lease :deal: that you signed.

I think 24 hours notice is too short notice because they never know if they are not in home or not...

If Landlord want every houses/apartment to be inspection then tenants need to be inform in writing when/date/time.... and respect Landlord's wish as long as they signed to agree with Landlord's rules ...

Landlord has the right to alarm firemen, police or whatever if they notice something wrong with smell, gas odor, noise, etc. instead of break in tenants's house/apartment.

I think 24 hours are just right, because never know the repairs need replace right away, but for.. smoke alarm/strobe.. need replace to save lives than sorry.. pipes leaking, toilet back up, how we can go bathroom? refridgator not working right, they come to fix it as soon they can within 24 hours...

even if you are not home, they can come in fix the problems, but they cant touch anything or steal.. it will against their regulation of landlord rules. he will get in trouble.. but still landlord's building he has rights to go in and fix something or update.. (noticed already deliver in tentant's home when or date that they will come).. i wouldnt complain..

Actually depends on lease papers.. says.. landlord will give 24 hours, 48 hours etc.. if tentant signed.. then.. go along with that what the lease papers said..

Wait wait wait... she said.. "they did give me 24 hours notice" however, I was at home..

Hold your horse!
I SAID "I locked the front storm door...I was busy..did not see the light flash...they admitted they were going to go inside my house at the back door...but there were mud there at the yard...Good thing they did not go in my house..I wouldve scream"

It is NOT appropriate for them to go back yard and try to go in the back door! It is forbidden! I did not see the light flash...GET IT??

ok ok.. so landlord ALREADY gave you 24 hours notice, then they have rights to get in when you are home or not home.. Reasons for: check yearly on batteries for strobe/smoke alarms, plumbling, appliance replaced, fix some damage.. many etc..

I know that! I'm NOT stupid! I DID NOT SEE THE LIGHT FLASH!

There is NOTHING have to do with smell, mess or next door...I was SICK and did not clean like freak clean...perfect clean...just little messy...these staff should not inspect my privacy...they should just do their job instead of complaining to the landlord about my house being little messy!

If your apartment smells because of dog, try give bath once a week or two.. if he peed or pooped in your apartment by accident, use vinegar/water to soak in area for few min before cevict you.. not just because of dog.. if smoke.. open window little bit and buy air freshers (odor kills)..

 I did not say my dog peed or pooped in my house! I said the staff installed the strobes in my house few weeks ago...I was very sick at that time...then they complained to landlord that my house was messy...it is NOT appropriate for them to do that! It's my house and I pay RENT!
