NORTH KENT: Free clinics for deaf and hard-of-hearing (From News Shopper)
A CHARITY for the deaf and hard-of-hearing is holding free aftercare clinics in the New Year for hearing aid users.
Hi Kent is running sessions where people can drop in and get their hearing aids cleaned and re-tubed.
They can also pick up fresh batteries free of charge.
Clinics take place from 10 to 11.30am at Age Concern in Swanley High Street on January 4, and on the following day from 9.30 to 11am at Turners Oak, Centre Road, New Ash Green.
A clinic will also be held from 11am to 12 noon on January 8 at St John’s Centre in Wrotham Road, Meopham.
Hi Kent chief executive John Clayton said: “There is no need to make an appointment, people should just turn up and they will be seen quickly.”
