North Dakota School for the Deaf expands name

The North Dakota School for the Deaf, a division of the Department of Public Instruction, has expanded its name to the ND School for the Deaf/Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

This is based on the recommendation of the North Dakota School for the Deaf Future Services Plan.

The school is responsible for services for North Dakotans who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The school coordinates services including assessment, consultation, evaluation, instruction, technology resources for all citizens in North Dakota who are deaf or hard of hearing plus center based and residential services for preschool through high school students.

For information, refer to the North Dakota School for the Deaf/RCDHH website, Welcome to North Dakota School for the Deaf, or contact Carmen Grove Suminski at csuminsk@nd.gov or 701-665-4410
