Im new here, and have a 23 month old daughter who just:lol: received her firms aids. She has the Hansaton Pro series amps, and this is her second pair. Her first set were the Hansaton regular series, she wore those for two weeks, and now has a bit more amplification. Were well aware that we have a long road ahead of us, but we are fully committed to making sure that she has everything everyone else does. Shes doing great and in great spirits and Loves her "EARS"!

Welcome. I think I may be closer to you than any of the Floridians here. I am in West Palm Beach.

I'm glad your little one is doing well with her aids.

:welcome: to AllDeaf forum. What about you? Are you interest in deafness? Are you involve in getting her to be a part of the Deaf Culture?

You have to remember that hearing loss is not the same with hearing like yours. Hearing loss is different than normal hearing. Every hearing parent want their child to be hearing and listening which is impossible whether they have hearing aids or CIs (Cochlear Implants). Unless your child have mild hearing loss and can learn to listen better than the moderate or severe or profound hearing loss. We have tried to talk with hearing parents about the hearing loss and they don't understand that the hearing aids or CIs were a miracle cure for listening. It is still not the same at all with hoping to have normal hearing. Just make sure your child is comfortable what she wears and be comfortable to be with deaf children and learn to sign ASL or use Signing Times that will help your child understand what you and other siblings say. Hope that help and also hope I am not offend you about that as I am being blunt as a Deaf person.

Just relax in reading and posting all the threads here. See you around here.
