The Horry County Museum will host a special exhibit on the history of the deaf community from the 1800s until the present in honor of National Deaf History Month, according to a press release.
The opening reception for the exhibit, which will consist of a series of informational posters, will be Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., according to the release. The exhibit can be viewed until March 30.
The exhibit is a partnership between the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind's Coastal Regional Outreach Center and the museum. Deaf history month runs from mid-March to mid-April.
