I refused to take that kind of BC anyway. I prefer to have period than not having any. My friend was on shots for 10 years and new OB/GYN told her to get off! So after she got off and hasn't had period for another 2 years and finally she did! IT was HORRIBLE! So now she is very happy pregnant with a GIRL! She have 3 boys and finally have a little girl which she is due in August! WHOO!

Anyway, I prefer to be safe than sorry. Just wanna to share this with you to be aware though! I do care about ya!

I agree with you! It's possible and very appealing to alter the monthly cycle with hormones, but it's not always safe to do so; especially long term. Let me say this... There are very sound reasons to alter the cycle thru the use of hormones; especially if you have a cycle that involves heavy bleeding or is exceptionally painful, but to just do it because you don't want to deal with the mess isn't advised.

Good thread!

Interest.

I had no periods for few years till my doctor told me to take pills to start periods otherwise I would ended up have uterus cancer. I knew one woman who had no period for three years ended up had uterus cancer. Not good idea without period too long.

True I loved it without periods for few years, no pms and cramps. Oh well, I have few more years left before menopause.
