A motorcycle ride to benefit Georgia School for the Deaf is planned Saturday in conjunction with the school’s homecoming celebration.

The 90-minute ride starts with registration at noon in Rolater Park. The cost is $30 per bike and includes admission to the cave in the park, door prizes, food, and admission to the homecoming game. Riders also will be part of the homecoming parade.

Street Chrome on Martha Berry Highway is an additional pickup location for the ride.

Riders will depart from that location at 11 a.m.

Proceeds benefit Georgia School for the Deaf. For more information and to download a release form visit orgsites.com/ga/gsdtigers or call Wesley Johnson at 678-565-5045.

I believe this is the first time they ever have motorcycles in the parade before the homecoming game.

Since I am not very far from the GSD campus, I probably will go there on Saturday if something else does not come up.
