also it caused by flooded basement years ago when there's a heavy amount of 8+ inches of rain in 1 day.

You may need to replace whole rocksheets. Before you install new rocksheets, You may need to paint primer/sealer on whole concrete walls and floor, too.

Tousi, de-humidifier is a great idea... I have forgotten about that. The owner before us had one in the basement. We never bothered getting one, but we should. Thanks for the reminder!

Ahhhh, Cat! Good morning. Yeah, in Minnesota, in the dog days of August, we used to pull like a gallon of water or more out of the basement every couple of days. In winter, it was so dry, we had to reverse and put a little water back into the environment just to protect everything.

:giggle: @ Mookie's avatar, I AM paying attention

I recommend you.. .use de-humidifier because helps moist asdorbs instantly to prevent bad bacterica growth on the wall in the basement... Tends easily smelly moist coming from basement... I've noticed some of other houses which I've been visit touring the houses... I avoid buying house has bad moist in the basement will come lot of work repair the walls and etc etc.. ain't go for it..

Prevouisly My condo townhouses (5 yrs ago) which it's sold.. good bye old neighbours nag! , my hubby and I were revonation the basement which it's bad molds coming from next door and tends garbage put it againist the wall.. which caused through my walls.. I was kinda not happy w/my old nag neighbour.. We forced to replace whole walls and set up the drywalls... everything insecrued good... then already quick within 2 months later sold.. finally.. we have not made profit that house ZERO!
