THE 2010 MISS DEAF USA PAGEANT IS BECOMING A REALITY AGAIN!
The long awaited and much talked about 2010 Miss Deaf USA Pageant is a reality and will take place in Washington, DC in United States of America!!
This exciting and energy-charged competition will take place at Gallaudet University.
Contestants from USA will be competing to win the Miss Deaf USA crown. The USA pageant competition begins as soon as the contestants arrive on the Gallaudet University campus in April 15-18, 2010. Miss Deaf USA contestants will be competing on two levels - first will be the preliminary judging that will take place during the first day. The second level of competition will be during the Finale where the finalists will compete for the Miss Deaf USA title and coveted crown.
There will be a spectacular swimsuit competition the evening of Finale.
The Pageant will include four competing categories: private, interview, swimsuit competition, artistic expression, and assessment of leadership abilities.
Bonita Leek, CEO is the co-founder, “I have been waiting for the golden opportunity to host the Miss Deaf USA pageant again. This golden opportunity has arrived, and I am optimistic that the 2010 Miss Deaf USA Pageant will be a powerful and historic event. Everyone in the Deaf Community will talk about it for years to come.”
“This Miss Deaf USA Pageant will be the grandest and most elegant deaf pageant to date”, states Leek. Leek was the chairperson for the 2005 Miss Deaf USA Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada with wonderful committees.
With Amanda Jones and Erin Land, we have two enthusiastic and energetic Pageant Directors. We are anticipating at least 20 contestants.
