Long time ago I think it was 1998 when we still used Superchannel TV converters for pay TV I watched a movie that sounds like that:
~~ A young man looking for a place was offered some apartament. I think it's in high-rise -but not sure.
He went there, used it for some time and then some suspicious things started happening. So he went back to the place where he was given an address to this "apartment" to ask some QQ and to his astonishment that place wasn't there anymore. I mean the building was there but the people dissapeared.
He went to inquire the adjacent businesses about where did they go and to his further astonishment they denied this "office" or whatever it was, was ever there.
Seemed like they were scared and forced to deny..
The place where he get the address was turned into something else and the present proprietors insited they never heard of any office being there and that they always been there .. and I think this is just the beginning of the movie.
Now that's above is the part that I am sure of..
here's what I am NOT so sure:
I think the movie starts with the man riding on a train, possibly subway- type and when he arrives at his destination he get's off the train , walks on the street, looks around and that's how he finds this "office".
They try to kill him at one point.
Not sure either, but I think they were using him as an alibi for man who was supposed to be living in this apartament but in fact he went to do some dirty business elsewhere, and when he returend they didn't need the "fake" guy anymore.. and that's why they tried to get rid of him.
It's not The Game, Paycheck, Dark City, 13th Floor, Family Man, Vanilla Sky, Reconstruction, Body Double, Pacific Heights.
I hope someone, somewhere watched this movie too..
To make matter worse I don't remember single face from this movie..
the movie was on Pay TV between 1998 - 2001 - that's when I ever rented the converter..
