Man beaten to death by 9 people and baseball bats

What is wrong with this people especially men and teenage boys with violence like that? What if the man did not steal the bike? How would they know? Beside, it is not proper to kill someone for that bike. There has been many bikes stolen, even on the Indian reservation and no one should give a beating to the person who might stole or not stole bikes. Violence is a no. No matter what kind of weapon, it is not okay to hurt or kill a person or people. I don't understand why men had to go for violence instead of peace. The 21st century is giving us bad vibes or karma to destroy ourselves. :(
