It's a case that shocked the public months ago.

Four suspects are charged.

One of them, 26-year-old James Kenneth Gaito of Holloway, apparently went into the woman's home on Crescent Road, and stole her purse containing her checks, while she was there.

On the morning his trial was to begin, Gaito suddenly entered a guilty plea.

"Based on the facts of this case, that it is a theft of a purse from an elderly disabled woman, we are still seeking a lengthy prison term," says Belmont County Prosecutor Chris Berhalter.

The maximum he could get for the burglary charge is five years.

Three other co-defendants are still facing charges.

They were discovered when they allegedly began trying to cash the checks from the woman's purse.
