Mac OS X server is for high end Mac based servers. You really don't need it if you're not using it for server related stuff.

You can do that with standard Mac OS X with basic server needs. If you really want a corporate style web site, better to use Mac OS X server. I.E. Apple is one of the corporate style web site.
