Lytle Receives Outstanding Deaf Award

What an honor! Eighteen year old Juliann Lytle did receive the Outstanding Deaf Award at the annual Georgia Lions State Convention at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga. Union County Lions own First Vice President, Lisa Little is shown as she presented the prestigious award plaque to Juliann.

The annual Georgia Lions State Convention always starts with the Parade of Flags from many of the 200 countries and geographic areas around the world where there are 45,000 Lions Clubs. It is a sight to behold!

Among the 500 plus Lions, friends, and family present that Friday evening was Juliann's own proud mother, Jan Lytle, and of course, seven members of the Union County Lions Club. We might add that Georgia's own Lion, James "Jim" Irwin a Past International President, was also present. Lion "Jim's" home club is the Albany, Ga., Noon Club.

Congratulations, Juliann Lytle, for the well deserved recognition. You have overcome great obstacles in your young life; however, with your courage, faith and determination, you have much yet to attain. Lions motto: We Serve.
