Hehe, I learned the easiest trick to get on the left side spark plugs. Yeah you can take it off or tear it to get through. Mine is torn up but not a big deal here since I don't get snow here and few inches of rain during the winter. It doesn't worry me.
That explains. One time my mechanic was not able to isolate wind whistle noise, he asked me to drive a customer's vehicle, he hop in a passenger seat, try to listen the noise, on the road, he heard strange noise under the engine when the vehicle reach 50 mph then return to the shop, lift the vehicle, he spot loose slash shield pan, he removed it and throw it away, we went back on the road again, he listen the noise. No wind whistle noise found, inform a customer that the slash pan need to replace but customer declined and doesn't want old slash shield pan back.
