Hi, I am new to this forum. I am wondering if anybody knows a good social worker/psychotherapist that has experience working with the deaf. I am specifically looking for one in the Western suburbs of Chicago or Rockford, IL. If anybody has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks!!

I have friends working social worker/psychotherapist but its in East Coast and California~ I am sure that someone will post here soon :)

By the way Hello and Welcome here :):):)

Any other center between Chicago and Rockford like Janet Wattles?

Does anybody know of any other counseling centers between Chicago and Rockford that work with the oral deaf? I'm hearing and my partner is hearing impaired, reads lips, and doesn't sign. This is a very special case one might say :). We are looking for a couples therapist who is certified in Imago.
Thanks!

Maxaroni,

I would be happy to find a resource for you :), but can you tell me what Imago means? (Sorry! I've never heard of that word before.)

psychotherapist / social worker

Hello. I'd just like to add that I've heard of a site of a counselor that does his counseling online. Requires no travel or interpreter. His rates are reasonable compared to similar others. He might be worth checking out. The service has been advertised and endorsed on ***********. His site is Jim Berry Counseling Copy. Hope this helps!
