In local events for the deaf and hearing impaired, there will be a performance of "Charlotte's Web" with deaf and hearing-signing actors at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Springfield Little Theatre.
The show is free for people who are deaf or hearing-impaired and their families on Thursday only. For tickets, contact Delinda Belanger at luckyelphnts@mchsi.com, Cindy Lear at cklear@mchsi.com or Terrill Harvey at tharvey@missouristate.edu.
A Deaf Resource Connection meeting will be held 10 a.m. -noon Friday at the Brentwood Library, 2214 S. Brentwood Ave.
From 1 to 4 p.m. April 29 at the Springfield Regional Center, 1515 Pythian St., the Deaf Resource Connection will host a workshop titled "911 Emergency," a workshop focused on how to access medical and emergency services.
There will be refreshments, door prizes and free day care. It is open to all people who are deaf or hearing-impaired and their families. Contact Sam Long at skyeagle@tmail.com if you can volunteer with the workshop.
