And the lady just underwent cancer surgery. So then you're condoning this but not John Edwards? I have not condoned either Edwards or Gringrich. I take it you think it's ok for Rebublicans to do this to people but not for Democrats?

No, I am saying I consider the source. Show me independent verification that Newt said his wife "wasn't pretty enough to be the wife of a President" or that he "forced papers" on her with malice in a hospital and then yeah I would condemn him. I have been around long enough to know there are two sides to every story when it comes to divorce so forgive me if I don't listen to one version and condemn the other person.

In the Edwards case there is this little piece of evidence called a baby that serves as pretty good independent verification. The page you cited looks like something someone created in 5 minutes. I don't trust that page enough to condemn someone. Nothing personal.

McCain did the same thing - his first wife supported him through his war injury and when she became ill, McCain had the nerve to leave her for a younger rich woman.

Hmm, doesn't say he forced her to sign papers in the hospital. No quote saying "she is not pretty enough to be the wife of a President". That he had an affair was not at issue. One huge difference is that Newt's marriage was known to be on the rocks for a long time. Liz Edwards got hit with this from out of the blue.

He had an affair......as I said earlier in this thread....there seems to be alot of that going around.
