IS HOPE NEAR?
A certain chill in the air
A shuddering shift in the wind
The sun's blackening
No rainbows we can share
Where do we go from here
Makes my mind spin
I cannot shed another tear
The heartaches my soul can't bear no more
Bad thoughts invading my mind
As I walk through the valley of death
The strength and hopes, I cannot find
So many directions on life's paths I could go
Am I coming to an end
Perhaps I may go with the flow
But my heart feels like a thorn bush
The pain of agony and bitterness
I need that special lift and push
So I can once again find my place in the rainbow.
