The Limerick school for deaf children marked it`s 25th anniversary at the weekend and says its main objective this year is to find an interpretor.

Those in the field; work in Dublin and have to travel to events in the Mid-West which proves costly.

It also means, deaf people are forced to work in Dublin because of the lack of interpretors here.

Christy Vereker, a volunteer with the school for deaf children in Limerick, says an interpretor is badly needed.
