Yeah, they believe that a muslim should die as a muslim, not any other religion.

I know there are muslim in the western area of China. Is that what you are talking about?

Yes & not only. In China any leader/pastor/priest of a non-state/government permitted activity is put to death.

So, how do you feel about CEOs of American companies that send union jobs to China to increase profits, even though these union members are Christians?

Have a nice day.

As a 40+ year union member (A.P.W.U.), I had to put on my thinking cap to get to the bottom of your question. First, I've known many, many co-workers and union members who are not christians and also many who declare themself christian but led non-Christ like lives. I've no idea at all about the lives of these C.E.O.s you point to.

Nevertheless, I do not see a connection between jobs exported and religion. I do see a connection between exported jobs and "profit". But I also see a connection of regulation and interference by the government on businesses. An example would be the Clean Air Act, which places a burden on certain businesses so that it is more profitable to manufacture oversea. This is way, way off-topic.

Back on-topic, there are many governments run by religion, a so-called state religion. Down through history this method has been shown as a failure and history is to be learned that to repeat this mistake will give the same result. Yes, those people who don't toe-the-line on the state religion will be punished by the state but that is only the beginning as there will be many other areas, example: women can't vote. To argue against the state will bring punishment but it will plant a seed for freedom in all areas of life. So should this man suffer for the stand he is taking will benefit those who are oppressed in other areas of life, example: women will be allow to drive cars and vote and hold government offices.

Good thing we don't live in Iran, right?

Let em self-combust.

Why would it matter? You posted about immigrants in the Palin thread, then posted about Catholics in the immigration thread.

We should do away with Clean Air act? China has a clear advantage on this: "Hey, dump that barrel out in back of the building! Burn those used chemicals!"

Anyhow, I apologize to the OP.
