what do u think about teen driving?

I saw on TV news about 15 yrs old boy took the van for joyride along with his 4-5 people in it. then accidently and killed 1 person from motorcycle. he flew out and landed so hard on other motorist (on the front hood). 15 yrs old boy and his friends got out alive without injury or hurt.

What do you think about teenager driver?.
teenager driver scared me because they think it's fun to drive but not, I mean like a toy car if you know what i mean. Do you trust the teenager driver?

Which worst is teenager or adult driver? or both?.

I remembered ride with a friend's other friend, I never forget a long time ago and will never ride with someone who drive way toooooooooo fast on freeway, that scared out of me.

It's good for teenage to learn to drive. The better they can drive and less accident than being late 20s to learn.

I believe some states, have made the age for getting a driver's license higher. I think being trusted alone to drive is a big responsibility.

20 years ago, its good for teens to learn to drive, since cars were less powerful and shittier handling and weaker brake, people respected the cars and roads more back then.. Now you have lots of arrogant fuckwits driving SUVs ramming down people, and the powers and handling of sportscars has spread out into ordinary cars, making everyone thinking they're bloody F1 drivers and thus roam the streets like manics.
So its two things, start making cars like Lada's (russian slowpoke but darn reliable, but we should still use japanese ignition systems though) or the old venerable VW Bettles AND raise the legal driving age up to 21. Teens these days are NOT as mature as they used to be. They THINK they are adults and they hardly have a faintest idea of responsibility.

I agree with Grummer. back then it wasn't a problem for so many teens. when i was 16, I learned that the age of 21 to 25 were the worst drivers in the US (if I can remember that) now, i'm not so sure. I'm seeing more of the elders actually crashing more than usual due to other drivers driving insane and going on road rages. as for teens, I'm not sure exactly how i feel about that. if I'm looking at my kid now, i would not let her drive just yet because she's not ready. of course she's only 11. But by the time she turns 15 I'll know. it depends on the maturity.

So is True

That is true. My mom say same thing now I am 18 and i started driving and I did so much maturity and I am doing so well in driving safe.

you're 18 and just now started driving.. is it because your mom felt it was time for you to drive due to your maturity or its the law (the age) in your state?

My maturity
ahh there ya go. yes I would do the same for my daughter. if I feel she's not ready then I won't let her drive but she can still drive with me in it for as long as she wants til she proves to me that she's ready.

Glad you approved. It really works for me.

Actually, several months ago there was a revised study found that ages 16-18 and those above 75 are the worst groups for causing the accidents. The ages 20-25 group are the third worst group.

Yes, there are handful of those teens are driving good but remember that's not the majority here.

My opinion is to recommend the federal law to move the age to 20 (or 19) from age 16 to allow them to learn and drive.

Just because the majority of those teens are rather too immature nowadays unlike those teens in the distant past. It has proven again and again that those 16 or 17 don't take driving responsibilities serious enough. I wouldn't be surprised that one day it may happen (hope so for the public safety' sake).

True but some have strict parents that help us to reach our maturity.

This thread was already discussed somewhere else. I've already stated that the age does not matter. I don't care if the law said 14 years old can drive. All I want is a driver ed reform - to make it tougher and strict.
