Hi Everyone!

My name is Jennifer and I lost my hearing when I was 21 after a doctor prescribed me Deberox drops for ear infections. I wasn't bothered my hearing is gone because I had a childhood friend named Lauren who was deaf and I knew that anything is still possible. I want to make more friends and learn to sign. I can only sign a few words and the alphabet but, haven't figured out how to read finger spelling? I don't think I recognize the individual letters well. I wear a Phonak eXtra (cheap route after my Phonak Naida was stolen). Anyone up for a challenge in becoming my friend?

It's okay. I took off while I was at the gym and it was in my little purse that was stolen. It was in middle of the night when I had gone and there was four lockers broken into. My purse only had my drivers license, gym card, and hearing aid in. I think they mainly wanted the wallet. I wish they would of mailed me back my hearing aid and license.

Question about licenses. Since I am deaf do I need to have put on my license? How does that work?

It depends on the state. Ask your DMV.

Do you have homeowner's or renter's insurance? That might cover your stolen hearing aids, especially if you filed a police report at the time.
