This is just me being me, but I just wanted to share my thoughts.

I usually have Mr. Number on my cell phone, so if an unknown number pops up, it'll alert me to it being a scam number, with the option to block. Now, I've heard that this might not work on iPhones, but I'm not for certian. If that is indeed the case, there is Call Control, as I checked that out myself, and they are legitimate. With Mr. Number, I've been able to block entire area codes known to be scam area codes, such as the 202 and 876 area codes.

For complete info on scam numbers, I highly recommend checking out www.800notes.com to see if there have been reported scam numbers. I'd also recommend bookmarking this site for quicker access if you need to do a quick look-up.

Sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry. These people are ruthless, you know. They DO prey on the disabled and the senior citizens. Common sense, yes, but also a peace of mind and SOME security. Never know what they'll do next.

I'm just speaking generally. No offense meant. I came across this site while researching ways to better protect myself from scammers, and spreading the word is one way to do that, but until today, I had limited options until I found this.

And I am both Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I am completely Deaf in one ear, Hard of Hearing in the other.

You're new to this site and the first post is a link and for all we know it could be a scam itself pretending to warn us of scams. I wouldn't touch that link with a ten foot pole.

Nope, it's not. I assure you-- it's real enough. I don't believe in scams, nor do I believe in robbing people blind. I do, however, believe in making sure that people have the proper info to protect themselves from becoming a victim of the scams.

we aware it already insecure to prevent alots of really numberous crappy because

stranger creepy some problem on someone harassment to 50 caller for not good for/ unknown caller

not fair . it is strictly we report law. somethings few report we tried to few days.

I recently check it woke up on pretty, some night /morning it is crazy we surprised am shocked.
surprised. manually to block to unkown is some problem. stupid people some have problem on waste of times call repeat! that is terrible

Well, that's why people are advising others to download call blocking technology on smartphones, and I wasn't sure if deaf people knew about that technology, and I wanted to see what I could do to help spread the word about the technology available today, so that we can better protect ourselves.

I once got a phone call from some guy telling me I just won something but he
needed to get some info from me first , he wanted my home address etc. I told the guy to give me his name and address and what did I just win . He hung up his phone real fast and never called back .

Whenever people tries to scam me, I ask them what they think about vehicles with turbocharged engine. I want them to think that turbocharged vehicles are the best thing EVER. That is because they are.

It's true-- turbocharged engines are a good thing. Like locomotives, for example. They got those.
