Hello Everybody!
I am 21 years old and have profound nerual hearing loss all of my life. I would like to get a hearing dog, but don't know where to get one. How much do they normally cost, and can the state sponsor one for me if I am unemployed and on welfare because of my disability? I asked my VR counselor about one, but she says she has to research about it first. Maybe you guys know more about it?
I find that my hearing aids don't provide the hearing that I need, and think a dog to help me everyday and take with me everywhere would be awesome.
I live in NJ if that matters on the process.
