I've always wondered about sport cards in general. Would cards of players sell best in their "hometown"?

For example, cards of Maurice Richards would sell the best in Montreal area.

Cards of Al Kaline will sell the best in Detroit area while cards of Bob Gibson would sell the best in St. Louis area. Is that accurate?

What do you think??

I think so. Hometown usually very supportive of home team overall. And players are involved in charities. Bobcats, though, most people go when they play Lakers, Detroit, Heat, Bulls, ...

If player goes back to their real hometown for stuff, their card/jersey probably does well there, too.

I see many teams offer incentives for fans to come to games that are not against hot sellers. Such as, offer incentive if Milwaukee Bucks come to Charlotte, but no incentive if Bulls comes to Charlotte.

:laugh2:I'll never know!

It's still fun to go when I can. They need fans. And on the bright side, there's not as much competition for the T-shirts and stuff thrown into the stands.
