Hey!! im a health n social care A-level student from england and for the effective communiction topic, i am studing deaf people. I am doing a placement at the local deaf school but there is only 3 pupils in the class so it is hard for me to find out the information i need!! i was wondering if you would be able to help me??

i need to find out the barriers there are for deaf people to communication with hearing people and how you work round them, eg deaf people can lip read and understand what hearing people are saying!!

any information will be a big help! i have some already but i really only second hand!!

Are you talking about a self contained classroom for the deaf in a hearing school, or a separate school that only enrolls deaf students?

If it is a self contained classroom, just watch how the deaf students and the hearing students interact when they are together. It speaks volumes!

no... it is Doncaster school for the deaf and there is only a few pupils theres!!! so i really cannot tell the barries theyhave to over come when shopping for example!!!
