Regardless, it isn't the law at this point in time so why should certain people be forced against their will to join the military because of their parents profession?

He's hyped up because I responded in this thread. He's the only member at any forum I particpate in that follows me around trying to start things both in public and in private. He hates cops because he's gotten caught breaking the law on several occasions and thinks that I'm personally to blame for all of his problems. Somehow I became responsible for the actions of every police officer around the world (even if the police acted correctly).

Its not that he cares about such subjects...he just cares that I posted in them.

Well, The war is going to continue.And when iraq mission is done syria or iran could be next.The war on terror contunues.

Taylor's right. The only time someone is required to serve is when there's a draft. As I understand it, they stopped that years ago. Now, signing up for military service is completely voluntary.

So, cool it before you pop a blood vessel or something.

Where did you find that information? I find that hard to believe, and it seems too tricky. So, if your son refuses to be drafted, then he will be automatically sent to a federal prison for 3 to 7 years and might pay $250,000 fine. ?

The problem - our congress people protect their own family instead of public family like us. I wonder if we could remove our name in the register for vote, maybe it cannot force us to send to a war for example. Any thought?
