Hi everyone,

I know that the sign language is different in america than in denmark, so what would be the best way for me to go about learning the danish sign language as a person who only knows English?

any help would be appreciated

I apologize for the double post but I had an idea. This is what wikipedia says
Danish Sign Language and its descendants Norwegian Sign Language and Icelandic Sign Language are largely mutually intelligible with Swedish Sign Language. Finnish Sign Language, and Portuguese Sign Languagederive from Swedish SL, though with local admixture in the case of mutually unintelligible Finnish SL.
.

If I learn from a swedish to enlgish sign language resource, will it be basically the same as learning sign language in danish?

I am deaf and use ASL, and I don't know Swedish sign language, but given that I am American and have a Scandanavian descent, and am learning the Swedish (written) language (not sign), I have learned that the syntax is very different from English (and ASL), AND have learned that Swedish, Norwegian and Danish words, while some are similar, are different enough that I'm not sure learning Swedish to ASL is the same as learning Danish sign language. Your best bet would be to find a tutor who is proficient in Danish sign language.
