none of us like the idea of hearing stars to pretend to be Deaf (and sign ASL or whatever), its not appropriate.

Learning ASL is for communication with d/Deaf people, not for making films as show off or pretending.

So you think it ok for hearing people to pretend to be deaf on films? and not give acting jobs to Deaf people?
