I guess there comes a point in time where you have to embrace the fact that you are deaf. I've been struggling with what exactly I am since I was mainstreamed and have always been a part of the hearing community. However, I'm also severely deaf in both ears. So, am I deaf or hard of hearing? :dizzy:

I guess it really doesn't matter in the long run since most people are shocked when I do explain that I wear 2 hearing aids. As a matter of fact... I've actually had an instructor in college not believe me. Good thing I had my Accommodation Letter right there in my grubby little hands! :roll:

Anyways, I'm actually going back for my master's degree, working full time and building a house right now. I'll be done with the school deal in about a year, the house should be done by October and hopefully the work thing will be done in 20ish years! :P

Well, at least we know not to expect you to waste words since you have only made 2 posts in 2 1/2 years of membership.

I learned many years ago that I am deaf. Plus, "I like talking to a man that likes to talk." Kaspar Gutman played by Sydney Greenstreet in THe Maltese Falcon 1941

I'd forgotten I had this account until I was trying to research some information. I will admit that I tend to not post as I don't want to be caught in a flaming war and I know that posts can come back to haunt me. ;)
 
:welcome: back to AllDeaf forum. Wow, you only have few posts over two and half years. <shake my head> Just have to be brave enough to discuss the topics with us as long as you don't go overboard with negative comments. Just think positive and go with the flow with your computer writing here. I hope you have fun reading and posting all the threads here. See you around. :wave:
