I guess there comes a point in time where you have to embrace the fact that you are deaf. I've been struggling with what exactly I am since I was mainstreamed and have always been a part of the hearing community. However, I'm also severely deaf in both ears. So, am I deaf or hard of hearing?
I guess it really doesn't matter in the long run since most people are shocked when I do explain that I wear 2 hearing aids. As a matter of fact... I've actually had an instructor in college not believe me. Good thing I had my Accommodation Letter right there in my grubby little hands!
Anyways, I'm actually going back for my master's degree, working full time and building a house right now. I'll be done with the school deal in about a year, the house should be done by October and hopefully the work thing will be done in 20ish years! :P

back to AllDeaf forum. Wow, you only have few posts over two and half years. <shake my head> Just have to be brave enough to discuss the topics with us as long as you don't go overboard with negative comments. Just think positive and go with the flow with your computer writing here. I hope you have fun reading and posting all the threads here. See you around.
