I'm working on collecting used hearing aids to donate to deaf kids in Africa. I have a couple of friends that work with the African Hope Initiative (African Hope Initiative or African Hope Initiative | Facebook) and they have gone to Africa to visit with the deaf kids there, and to see how the construction of the deaf school was coming along.
If you have any used hearing aids that are just laying around and aren't being used, consider donating them. You can send them to me, and I'll give them to my 2 friends involved with the Initiative and they'll get the hearing aids to Africa with the Initiative's help. You can even send in any spare hearing batteries too.
