I need to ask a few questions first.
Who told you to ditch gmail, and for what reason? That is, were you having problems with gmail?
Were you "invited" to make this change by an anonymous email or by a pop-up? Or was the suggestion made by a trusted person you know?
Sorry to be so inquisitive but that's part of the troubleshooting process.
