I wonder have anyone served food for grad parties out of ordinary?

Today I went to a friend's high school grad party, she served chinese food and dessert bars instead of cake and sandwiches. I guess today people are getting sick of cake and ordinary boring sandwiches. Three years ago, my classmate had pies instead of cake for dessert. I have few more to go this month, so I will see what others planning on having.

WHen my son graduate from Jr high, High School and College, I would probably have cook out and tons different food so it won't be so boring. :)

Orginial grad party food would be hamburger, sloppy joes, cold cut sandwiches like subway. Try cook brats and hot dogs or try something else new.

Yeah...I would serve three kind or four kind of meats (whichever I can afford), such as burgers (two kinds, turkey and beef), hot dogs/brats, chicken.

Or order take out such as PIZZA!

My daughter is having a high school grad party this month.. we will be having an outdoor bbq. (praying for sunshine!) We'll serve bbq chicken, shish kebobs, ribs and all those gooey side dishes to go with it. Hot dogs and burgers for the kids and those who prefer traditional/simple bbq. Ice cream cake will be the dessert! YUM

grad parties should be held at a state park and grill some hamburgers and hot dogs along with cole slaw,Potato Salad and macaroni salad.

I don't think I even remember the graduation party dinner after high school. I just left right after I graduated and went home which was awesome. :) :thumb:
