There is no such freebie for setting up your own website...

What do you mean? I know there are a few websites like angelfire, tripod, and yahoo to name a few that you can sign up for free. I know it's limited use, but it doesn't matter. What I can't tell is if it could have a setting to set to private. There's one from my internet provider, but I need high speed access to use it. I don't have High Speed Internet.

Maybe you did not clear your question.

Anyway, that is corret. There are also freebies personal spaces/websites and others.

It would be better if you have high speed Internet cable/DSL. I personally perfer H.S. Internet cable since I use my videophone. If you can cut your telephone service, you can also save your money only if you have H.S. Internet cable, such as $50 telephone expense vs. $40 cable expense (varies prices in different locations).

However, you want to set up your own website, you would have to apply your website right and pay the website fee and website service. What about software? Yep, you would also have to pay since you need to create your own webpages.

Which free web site do you recommend? Which one has a private setting?

I can't cut the telephone as my mom and brother uses it. We have been trying ot get HS Internet for awhile.

Tell your mother that there is a good deal for digital telephone. That would save your mama's expense. Hopefully, I help you out, dude...

Hmm, I don't use any personal space. You may ask Alex as the webmaster/owner of AllDeaf website and other websites.

LiveJournal.com is good. myspace.com is another one. it's crappy, and is very popular with teenagers and peodophiles right now.

whichever one you choose, if you make something "private" the only people who can see it will have to have accounts with that website too.

I don't know about LiveJournal.com, but I do know that MySpace isn't private even if you don't have an account. They have a Privacy Setting only for the young teenagers. I think it is very stupid of them. The only thing you cannot see if you do not have an account with MySpace are the pictures and videos, but everything else is viewable. You can set your Blogs to private if you want. The Privacy Setting is not available for all ages. They say so in their FAQ website. I think they are idiots. I have to admit that it's been interesting to read what all the other people in my high school have done with their lives. I still do not like myspace.com.

I don't like myspace either. But it appeals to children and paedophiles.
I have a livejournal account just so that I can read the private postings of some people I know. Live journals private feature is good. You have to have a live journal account and be on the person's friends list. I assumed the myspace sites worked about the same but maybe not. You can even "lock" a post to a certian person on your friends list.

If you really wanted to go private you could use encryption and then only people withh the key would be able to read it. or better yet, talk in code.. then encrypt it.. for example "Mellons sell for only $1" could mean that your brother got arrested for public exposure .. .. or something.

You could sign up any free website and put up username/password javascript so you could give certian people username and password to enter your site.

Don't use myspace, it's a bunch of weirdo's on there, I was getting pervs trying to get my # almost everyday so i quit myspace... here's a list of the best free website providers: http://www.freewebsiteproviders.com/best-webhosts.htm

also if you want a page password protected just search google for "password protection script" or something like that.

Sorry, it is not free to set your website. Pretty costy. I don't know if they have a free your account. I have one time a few years ago. I have one. You have to decide which one is best for you to use high internet speed is a good idea, it help you cheaper about 40.00. It not bad at all.

I hope that help you decide.
