Well, looking high and low for a used vehicle on the cheap, I think I finally found another that will help me with the house as well and not break the bank at $600. Has the straight 6 with a 3 on the tree ( I will modify that to a floor shift and possibly a bigger trans )
It has a 3 speed manual trans and I want to make it a 5 speed, also possibly a bigger motor in the future but for now its a gas saver as well.

We had the same truck as a kid. Good truck. I rememer it not being that good on gas though for a 6 but it will haul stuff around for you and they are nice to work on. Lots of space under the hood. Did you get it yet?

That looks great! Now if only it doesn't eat up what you saved in repairs down the line.

Parts are cheap for these old trucks and they are pretty reliable. Of coarse the condition of this specific truck is unknown to us but it's only $600 :D

Nothing wrong with straight 6 and it's better than crap V8 for high torque and long last. Keep motor and replaced 5 speeds manual. 3 speeds is awful for MPG at highway lol.
 
What year is that? It looks a lot like one we had in an orange color when we were first married.
 
Great truck. Looks like 1970-1973 to me. Sweet 6 in-line engine. Go with a 5 spd tranny. Hope the 5 spd tranny will fit it without change a driveshaft.... Maybe you google Ford F150 forum to see what the people do with a 5 spd tranny conversion...

I guess its another failed deal... its a bogus spam ad on craigslist, we emailed last night he only used the craigslist email, told me to call today, I did and nothing but laughing and so on, I couldn't even talk to them. asshats !

I thought of doing a reverse number look up and go pay a visit...lol
My buddy is gonna call later and see what happens.

Its an F100, well My buddy called and the guy said it was his kids in the background so he was trying to move to hear me... but nothing was really said and I kept saying hello?
So apparently he already sold it since he emailed me at 2am and said to call this morning which I did at 9am... I don't get it, but he tells my buddy that his friend might have a truck for sale and will call him back...so Im waiting to see what this clown comes up with next.
 
Craigslist has a new system up where one cannot see the the other's real email address.

If any seller or buyer says "Please email me your personal email, I don't like using CL's mail system".....don't do it.

They just want to collect emails to sell to spammers.

Cool, I didn't know that But yes if they asked for my personal email I never send it, as they have already made contact. So if they don't like that, then tough, deal with it. I noticed CL is changing a lot of stuff.
 
I never like craigslist anymore. Sometime they gave me headache and hard to communication. Ebay and other are a lot easy than craigslist.
 
On the way to get the rider, as well as coming home, we passed a repair shop that has 6 trucks for sale ranging from 1930 to 1950 that are for sale... gonna try and go check them out this weekend. not show quality, just complete running beaters. Ill fill you in on details as soon as I find out anything.
