I used it to charge my phone and my iPod touch! It works! It charges without having plug into the outlet, portable battery charger lol
 
yes but MUST one slot, if extra USB from HUB without power supply, will damage or very low and burn, must HUB with power supply, won't damage or no burn that Keyboard, Mouse, more future

I agreed with you. One slot is correct due limit of current and USB only 500 mA and not good idea for more than one keyboards, mouses, or mobile. If overload current then cause burn any hardware. It's okay for digital camera since mostly digital camera don't need power, just data.
 
Mac OS X has USB overload warning box. If I overload the power of the USB, it will shut down the USB port and you have to fix it to get it right.
