it's sad to say
but you're slipping away.
i can feel it deep inside,
every second,
every day.
the bond so unique
that you and i share,
no other friendship
ive ever had,
could ever compare.
only you understand
the feeling im talking about.
but a shift in our lives
has deeply cracked our sacred temple.
i feel useless and empty.
i want to cry
but im too depressed.
you're drifting away,
and like cyrptonite to superman,
im crumbeling with out you.
you're the fuel that
keeps me going.
i know you're here
but it feels like you're gone.
my soul has checked out
and my heart has sunk
to the darkest core of my body.
time heals all wounds,
but everything has forever changed.
time could heal me for 100 years
but nothing will ever be the same.
there's nothing i can do
nothing to save you.
nothing will comfort you
nothing will console you.
the only thing i can do,
is watch you drift away from me.
i cry for you every night.
i love you so much.
i hope to god we can
get through this,
because i cant get through
life without you.


again im not good at keepin everything rhyming
 
No matter if you're not good with rhyming...what you wrote reflects something quite deep and from within yourself....It's well written. :thumb:

Wouldn't this have any direct bearing to someone who recently 'left'? Also, if you do not wish to reveal anything, you can always 'PM' me and I'll keep it under the wraps. ;)

Good writing, now, will you turn it into a song and sing it?
 
Awww AJ, your poem makes me want to hold you. You have special talent for writting poems.

Don't worry about rhyming, there are various styles in poems. Free running poem is what you're writing. I started out the same way, then eventually learned how to rhyme.

Your poem is heart touching one. I can understand how it is like to have heart sunk. Poem is a good vent for you, emotionally, to relieve. Similiar to the poem that I wrote few years ago posted on alldeaf last year:

Shipwrecked Life
 
i never thought about turning it into a song, i could try that.

yeah poetry is a way for me to vent and get my feelings out. but i hate when i get writers block, because then my feelings get backed up and it makes me more frustrated.
