If you have Democrats and Republicans together on Foxnews you'll more than likely bring in a bigger audience. No commie talk. This is a free country. Yet, Obama would love nothing more than to shut down Foxnews a la Chavez. His inner dictatorship is bursting on wanting to get out.

Bingo. A choice of words is always a clue to actual belief system, even when one is trying to disquise it.
And the fact that viewers increased during the midterms is one of those "Duh" situations. Why would anyone think this was a significant event?
