Fire Alarm

My daughter will be moving into an off-campus apartment next fall and I want to get a fire alarm/smoke detector for her. Can anyone recommend a good one?

BRK Electronics 100S for Hearing Impaired. It is a hard wired fire alarm with strobe dome on it. IT's very BRIGHT! like a disco LOL..

Check out Ebay search "fire alarm strobe" or "BRK 100S"

You should find BRK Electronics fire alarm w/ strobe. Usually sold at store for $100 but you can bid on it. I checked recently and it's only BUY NOW for $113 or $117, rip off. You can google search for BRK 100S for cheap price.

I own 2 of them in my house, won it in Ebay, pair of it for $40 brand new BRK Electronics years ago (got lucky). It is interconnectable system to allow interconnect with BRK branded regular fire alarms. I planned to get couple more later in future.

do those fire alarm will ring a sound?? grrr I rather it just the strobe light.. I need a couple myself too.. but with me and my mom deaf can't see the one in the basement.. don't know what to do also the carbon mioxide as well can't find one that just the hook up to a lamp to flash when it warns us... any suggestions?? since we don't have the technology to have it hooked up to your sk here in canada yikes...

All firealarm w/strobes always have sounds. For Carbon Monoxide detector. If you have hard wired BRK Electronics fire alarm system, You would be able to "interconnect" it to rest of your house's fire alarm. Interconnection is important cuz if one fire alarm goes off, rest of fire alarm follows. Same thing IF Carbon Monoxide from BRK Electronics (typically don't have strobe) can be interconnected with firealarms. IT'll does the same way. IT's a nice system that you could have for your house and peace in mind.

I've heard about fire alarm contacts you on SK. DEAFWORKS · Welcome! sells them but I cannot confirm it would work. It appears to be a "homemade" devices. I would not recommend to get one.
